This photo was taken at Alabama Point during my first year of college.
That would be a photo of the former Alabama Gulf State Pier. When I took this photo, there were piles of sand still surrounding each side of West and East Beach Blvd. It looked like 10 feet of snow had just dropped on top of Gulf Shores, and the palm trees were all brown. You could see the ocean through the wall-less condos. It’s an image I’ll never forget.
Another reason I love Gulf Shores… This video was taken in January of ‘06. It was 55 degrees, and there was no snow in sight. Don’t get me wrong… I like snow, but I love sand between my toes even more :)
Lambert’s Cafe in Foley, Alabama is my favorite restaurant.

Alabama Point
This is one of the views from The Four Seasons of Romar’s fishing pier in Orange Beach, Alabama. (On a side note, nearly all of my photos will be of the Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Fort Morgan area..as of right now.)
Gulf Shores Plantation. I have more photos of the Plantation, but they are temporarily missing…aka…probably on a disc in a box in a garage. Anyway, I absolutely love Gulf Shores Plantation! What I love about this place is that you actually feel like you’re on a vacation…because it’s a bit away from the rush of traffic…but, yet, still close to stores/restaurants. Once when I visited there during the month of October, it wasn’t too crowded, so I had the chance to sit on the beach all alone (literally), lit only by moonlight, and listen to the waves gently crash upon the shore = BEAUTIFUL.
